Arlington, Virginia Addition and Interior Renovation

This house had already been expanded in the 1970s, but the small and isolated original 1940s kitchen had never been updated. The renovation and addition project enlarged and totally redesigned the kitchen, creating an eating area, side deck and mud room while opening it to the earlier family room addition off the rear of the house, creating a much better flow throughout the first floor and making the kitchen the center of main living space. A laundry room was added on the second floor and an exercise room in the basement below.
